This standard is based on the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law of Japan Article 12, to control the quality of Drugs, Quasi-drugs, Cosmetics and Medical Devices. It specified the quality requirements from manufacture to sales for pharmaceutical companies. It was released in 2004.
